David Blázquez adds a new twist to the art of interior design. His photography exhibit called “human furniture” is on display at El Fotomata in Sevilla, Spain. By using naked men as furniture, he questions whether or not humans could, in fact, be inanimate. This exhibit also poses the idea of what it’s like to feel like you’re being watched. Ahh, a quick and beneficial power nap. Both the music and alarm can be programed to our individual needs and desires. Once the laptop is reopened, the i-sleep deflates and you can begin to work once again, that is, until a little shut-eye is needed again.

The British-designed Bloodhound SSC (supersonic car) was unveiled in London today, with plans for a record-breaking supersonic run in 2011. The 42-foot land rocket will reach Mach 1.4 when it blasts across an as-yet undetermined desert, zipping along at a speed that's literally faster than a speeding bullet. It'll reach that blistering speed with a huge kick from both a Eurojet EJ200 jet engine and a Falcon hybrid rocket engine. Their combined 47,000 lb. of thrust will propel the $16.2 million carbon fiber and titanium vehicle to its top speed of 1050mph in a mere 40 seconds.How will it feel to go that fast on land? According to speed record-breaking driver/fighter pilot and mathematician Andy Greene, who will be at the wheel when the Bloodhound makes its record-breaking attempt, "It's going to be quite uncomfortable."

The TX54 is a concept design which featured in the global design competition organized by Timex in collaboration with Core77. The design competition was held to commemorate 150 years of watch crafting and time keeping. The device is transparent and needs to be kept at the thumbnail or stays clear till the time it is activated. To activate or check time, one can just glance at the time when needed. It is small, chic and minimalist. Of course one can simply glance at their cell phone than going for another gadget but with its looks and various modes it a nice way to keep time.

Many adults find it even more unnerving considering it is difficult to learn to balance, as one grows older. SHIFT bicycle helps children and riders who find it difficult to balance, to learn to ride at their own pace. The shifting rear wheels helps the rider to balance the bike at slow speeds and once the forward momentum is built, the wheels turn inward due to the reduced weight on the rear wheels. Thus a rider can learn how to balance. The bike also features a swinging gear that allows rear wheels to go in and out. Redistribution of weight being the key, the wheels look like that of a trike’s but later becomes a bike. Matt Grossman, who designed the bike, was awarded at the 9th International Bicycle Design Competition in Taipei.

I don’t own a car, but apparently those numbers posted at the gas station mean that refueling your vehicle has gotten rather expensive these days. So instead of heading out in the family minivan with the kids, why not go the bike route instead? The Zigo is a modular bicycle that allows you to carry a couple of kids in the ChildPod up front, which makes it easier to keep an eye on them while you’re riding. (As opposed to having the child sitting behind you.) When you get to your destination the ChildPod can be removed and transformed into a stroller in about 30 seconds which then allows the Zigo to be used as a standard 2-wheeled bicycle once you attach the front wheel.
